Lassen Volcanic National Park, Californee

Yup, the burn has come and gone. I had an amazing time with amazing people that I can only describe to you in photos which will be posted whenever the fuck I can find internet...im thinking about doing the mobil hotspot thing while im on the road. Anyway after some serious cleaning we headed north-west out of Nevada into Cali to Lassen Volcanic.  From Yellowstone, the largest and busiest  National Park, to Lassen one of the countries smallest and the least visited parks in less then two weeks. It is funny because Lassen is like a mini Yellowstone with alot of the same geothermal features its just much much muchhhh smaller.

Im posting from Bumpass Hell which, after a short hike, is the only place in the park I have service. Its one of the main geothermal spots in the park and is named after Kendall Bumpass the mountaineer guide that lost his leg after falling into a mudpot while leading a group through the area in 1865. Those mudpots and hot springs are well over boiling point so you can imagine where the area got its name.

Tomorrow we head to the coast. Hope everyone at home is doing alright with the earthquake, hurricane and flooding! Sending some cali sunshine and love <3

Pictures include todays hike and one giant pinecone I found yesterday. Oh and yes that is ice in those pictures!
